Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a surgical treatment option for both medical and cosmetic concerns. Septorhinoplasty combines the benefits of a rhinoplasty with septoplasty (surgery for deviated septum) to further improve the appearance of the nose. Under the exceptional care of Cutis’ Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Ron Lemckert, ENT, our patients are treated to all the latest techniques and applications in nasal rejuvenation. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Lemckert to learn more about your nasal treatment options.

As a cosmetic surgery centre, Cutis is equipped in providing the highest level of care and safety to our patients. During a consultation with Cutis' Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Ron Lemckert, ENT, a general health assessment will be made to ensure treatment suitability. The treatment is performed under local or general anesthetic and can last between one to three hours. Our highly trained professionals take every safeguard to ensure our patients are fully informed and prepared for both pre and post-treatment care.

Recovery time for rhinoplasty varies. A moderate amount of swelling, bruising and redness around the nose and eyes are to be expected. Effective pain management will be discussed and prescribed prior to treatment. A nasal splint will be fitted and worn for one week following treatment. Most swelling has resolved by 2 weeks but mild swelling of the nose can continue for up to six months. The participation in regular activities, including work, should be suspended for one week, with strenuous activity suspended until after week two.

How It Works

There are a variety of treatment options for reshaping the nose. Depending on the desired treatment outcome a combination of rhinoplasty and septoplasty may be applied. Incisions are made within the nostril and sometimes across the base of the nose. Excess bone and cartilage is then removed and reshaped to achieve a desired appearance.
