Dr. Karen Edstrom – Aesthetic Dermatologist
Known for feminine and artistic sensibility with aesthetic laser and injectable treatments, Dr. Edstrom lives her passion every day: skin health and sun protection.
As a Medical Director of Cutis Cosmetic & Laser Centre, Dr. Edstrom maintains an active role in diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
She is committed to advancing the safe and innovative practices of both medical and aesthetic dermatology. Her dedication to the industry is acknowledged in her various endeavors, including her Readers’ Choice Awards for Dermatology (Hamilton Spectator).
Assistant Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, Dr. Edstrom educates medical students and residents, and is an active member of numerous medical organizations including the Canadian Dermatology Association, the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society (CLASS) (for which she was formerly president and treasurer), the American Academy of Dermatology, the Ontario Medical Association, the Hamilton Academy of Medicine, and the Canadian Medical Association. Dr. Edstrom is an active staff member at Hamilton Health Sciences.
Dr. Edstrom received her BSc in Biology and MD training from Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Following, she pursued her Dermatology residency at the University of Ottawa, Ontario and Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, completing her fellowship in 1997.
Today, she is a recognized leader in aesthetic dermatology practice.
Dr. Ron Lemckert – Otolaryngologist and Facial Plastic Surgeon
With a specialization in Otolaryngology, Dr. Ron Lemckert provides patients at Cutis with results-backed experience in facial cosmetic surgery, laser, and injectable artistry.
As a Medical Director of Cutis Cosmetic & Laser Centre, Dr. Lemckert maintains an active role in surgical consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up. Patients in his aesthetic and surgical care benefit from his unique facial specialty in both surgical and non-surgical platforms. Dr. Lemckert is also a repeat winner of the Hamilton Spectator’s Readers’ Choice Award for Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
As an Assistant Professor of Surgery for McMaster University Medical Centre he has had many academic appointments including previous Chief of Otolaryngology at McMaster University Medical Centre. Dr. Lemckert is an active staff member at Hamilton Health Sciences and a member of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Lemckert received his BSc in Biology at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia before completing his MD at Memorial University, Newfoundland. Following, he returned to Dalhousie University to pursue his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Lemckert is an active member of numerous community and medical associations including the Dundas Rotary Club, the Hamilton Academy of Medicine, the Canadian Medical Association, the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society (CLASS) and the Ontario Medical Association. Dr. Lemckert is a past president , vice president and treasurer of the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society. He is also a longstanding member of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery . He is globally recognized as a luminary aesthetic provider and physician educator of advanced injection techniques of BOTOX COSMETIC® and JUVÉDERM® and Revanesse facial fillers.
Dr. Lemckert is regarded as a true specialist of aesthetic medicine.
Dr Trevor Lewis - Facial Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Trevor Lewis completed his medical training at McGill University and residency training at McMaster University. His pursuit of excellence took him to Dalhousie University where he completed a fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, Facial Plastics and Microvascular reconstruction. Dr. Lewis also completed a prestigious fellowship with the AO foundation at the University of Maryland with facial trauma. He currently serves the community in Head and Neck surgical oncology including major cancer surgeries, reconstruction, facial nerve reanimation, and rhinoplasty.
Dr. Lewis holds certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in both Canada and the USA as well as board certification through the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He is a fellow level member in the Canadian Association of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Association of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.
