Laser – Leg Veins And Blood Vessels
When the ability for blood to flow in and out of the vessels is impaired, a tangled web of red, purple, blue, and green appears on the skin’s surface. Laser therapy provides a safe, non-invasive solution to correct the common aesthetic concern of leg veins, blood vessels, spider veins, and hemangiomas.
-
Cutis uses specialized lasers to treat leg veins, facial blood vessels, and redness, including ND Yag laser. These devices are tuned to target and treat the various colour tones specific to leg veins. There is an immediate visible result from the very first laser pulse. To clear veins and vascular lesions, laser energy is specifically employed to heat targeted vessels leading to complete or partial collapse of the vessel walls. Small veins may become blurred while larger veins may temporarily darken. The surrounding skin is left intact. The constricted blood vessel slowly degenerates and is naturally resorbed from the surface of the skin. Over the weeks following the first treatment, the body naturally removes unsightly veins. Typically 1-2 treatment sessions spaced one month apart are required. Each vein responds uniquely to treatment; some may clear within one treatment, while others will require repeated sessions for optimal results.
No anaesthetic is required for this treatment. A rapid heating sensation and passing discomfort may be experienced during the session.
-
Treatment sessions generally take 15-30 minutes.
-
Patients can expect some redness and mild swelling to occur, and possible bruising. Patients can expect to return to their normal daily activities immediately post-treatment.
Nd YAG-Clear V
As a specialized centre for aesthetic dermatology, advanced skincare and facial cosmetic surgery, the Nd YAG laser equips Cutis with a powerful tool for the safe and effective treatment of blood vessels and spider veins, and hemangiomas.
-
The Nd YAG laser is an electronic-optical device that emits monochromatic light at a wavelength of 1064 nm. The medical-grade light energy from the Nd YAG laser can be used for different applications by adjusting treatment parameters. To clear veins and vascular lesions, Nd YAG laser energy is specifically employed to heat targeted vessels leading to complete or partial collapse of the vessel walls. The constricted blood vessel slowly degenerates and is naturally resorbed from the surface of the skin.
In some cases, moderate discomfort may be experienced and a topical anaesthetic may be applied. Treatment durations are generally confined to a few minutes to an hour.
-
Will vary depending on the application for which it is applied. Pin-point bleeding, swelling, and redness may occur.
Forever Young BBL™, BBL Hero & IPL Photorejuvenation
Safe and effective broad band light devices that rejuvenate the skin by targeting irregular pigment and blood vessels brought out by sun exposure. Forever Young BBL™ can also rejuvenate the functions of the skin cells. Treatment outcomes help to reveal a more vibrant, even complexion along with refined pores. IPL Photofacials and Forever Young BBL™ treatments are non-invasive, posing minimal risk, downtime, and discomfort. IPL/BBL treatments address sun damage which presents as photoaging in the skin.
-
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) / Broad Band Light (BBL) are photorejuvenation treatments employing wavelengths of light from the visible light spectrum to target pigmented lesions or blood vessels. Typically, brown spots initially darken, blood vessels and spider veins are coagulated and all treated cells are scavenged and cleansed by the body’s natural processes of elimination. As these signs of sun damage are absorbed, and treated cells slough away, a more even and youthful complexion can be revealed.
-
A typical treatment lasts 30-45 minutes and need not disrupt your regular routine.
-
A total of 4-6 treatments are required, spaced every 3-4 weeks.
-
Mild redness and swelling are expected following treatment. The skin may feel rough for up to one week as targeted cells slough away and renew. The use of sunscreen before, after and throughout your photorejuvenation sessions is imperative to prevent subsequent photodamage and to protect the results of your treatment.
