Dr. Karen Edstrom – Aesthetic Dermatologist
Known for feminine and artistic sensibility with aesthetic laser and injectable treatments, Dr. Edstrom lives her passion every day: skin health and sun protection.
She is a renowned Medical Director at Cutis Cosmetic & Laser Centre, specializing in skin health and sun protection. An Assistant Professor at McMaster University, she educates medical students and is an active member of several medical organizations, including the Canadian Dermatology Association and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Edstrom's accolades include multiple Readers’ Choice Awards. With her BSc and MD from Memorial University and a dermatology residency at the University of Ottawa and Dalhousie University, she is a recognized leader in aesthetic dermatology.
Dr. Ron Lemckert –Otolaryngologist and Facial Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Ron Lemckert, Medical Director at Cutis Cosmetic & Laser Centre, excels in facial cosmetic surgery, laser, and injectables. As an Assistant Professor of Surgery at McMaster University, he has held notable roles, including Chief of Otolaryngology. Dr. Lemckert is a frequent winner of the Hamilton Spectator’s Readers’ Choice Award for Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
He holds a BSc from Dalhousie University and an MD from Memorial University, with a residency in Otolaryngology at Dalhousie. A member of numerous medical associations, including the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Lemckert is renowned globally for his expertise in advanced injection techniques.
Dr Trevor Lewis - Facial Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Trevor Lewis completed his medical training at McGill University and residency training at McMaster University. His pursuit of excellence took him to Dalhousie University where he completed a fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, Facial Plastics and Microvascular reconstruction. Dr. Lewis also completed a prestigious fellowship with the AO foundation at the University of Maryland with facial trauma. He currently serves the community in Head and Neck surgical oncology including major cancer surgeries, reconstruction, facial nerve reanimation, and rhinoplasty.
He holds certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in both Canada and the USA as well as board certification through the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He is a fellow level member in the Canadian Association of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Association of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.

A skilled team of nurse injectors, laser technicians, medical and surgical assistants, as well as skin care consultants, all led by our physician team.
Tara - Nurse and Laser Technician
Certified Laser Technician, Medical Aesthetician, and Skin Care Specialist. She graduated from Luba Mera school of Aesthetics and Cosmetics school in 2012 and has been working in the beauty industry ever since. She’s done laser training with us and then graduated from the RPN program at Mohawk College. She is trained to do injectables and is passionate about helping people look and feel their absolute best.
Michelle - Certified Medical and Surgical Assistant, and Medical Aesthetician
As a member of the Cutis team since 2010, Michelle is a certified laser technician, Medical Assistant, Operating Room Assistant, and Medical Esthetician. She has a passion for skincare and enjoys creating your custom, at-home, skincare routine. She can be seen greeting patients with a smile and a sense of humor.
Kristi - Registered Nurse
A Registered Nurse since 1999, she also has a BScN and a Master of Arts degree. A former Instructor in the Operating Room Certification Program at Mohawk College, and certified in the Botulinum and Dermal Fillers Basic Technique Certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics (CAMA). She has been working at Cutis since 2019. In June 2021, Kristi completed the Advanced Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers Certificate Level 2 Injector Course also from CAMA. She has also been trained as a laser technician.
Kim - Office Manager
Kim has completed the Medical Administrative course at TriOS College and has been with Cutis since 2010. In her spare time, Kim enjoys ballroom dancing and stays up-to-date on all our skin care products. We count on Kim and so do our patients. Kim is always willing to go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and taken care of.
Nicole - Receptionist/Medical Administrator
Nicole has been a part of the Cutis team since 2021. She is the pleasant voice that can be heard when you call the clinic. She is always willing to assist with your booking needs and welcoming you to our clinic. She is knowledgeable with skincare and services available in the clinic.
Ashley – Patient Care Coordinator
Ashley has been with Cutis since 2014. She graduated from Everest College with a diploma in Medical Administration. Patient care is her passion – you come first at Cutis. Ashley’s face might be the first you see at Cutis – feel free to ask her all the questions! Ashley brings a love for learning to our clinic as she continues to strive to be up-to-date with all medical grade products and treatment options available.
Marly - Medical Receptionist
Marly has been in the medical field for 10 years. She has lots of experience working with patients both medically and cosmetics. She will be the friendly face you see when checking in for your appointment. When she's not at the clinic she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and daughter.
