Forever Young BBL™, BBL Hero & IPL Photorejuvenation
Safe and effective broad band light devices that rejuvenate the skin by targeting irregular pigment and blood vessels brought out by sun exposure. Forever Young BBL™ can also rejuvenate the functions of the skin cells. Treatment outcomes help to reveal a more vibrant, even complexion along with refined pores. IPL Photofacials and Forever Young BBL™ treatments are non-invasive, posing minimal risk, downtime, and discomfort. IPL/BBL treatments address sun damage which presents as photoaging in the skin.
-
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) / Broad Band Light (BBL) are photorejuvenation treatments employing wavelengths of light from the visible light spectrum to target pigmented lesions or blood vessels. Typically, brown spots initially darken, blood vessels and spider veins are coagulated and all treated cells are scavenged and cleansed by the body’s natural processes of elimination. As these signs of sun damage are absorbed, and treated cells slough away, a more even and youthful complexion can be revealed.
-
A typical treatment lasts 30-45 minutes and need not disrupt your regular routine.
-
A total of 4-6 treatments are required, spaced every 3-4 weeks.
-
Mild redness and swelling are expected following treatment. The skin may feel rough for up to one week as targeted cells slough away and renew. The use of sunscreen before, after and throughout your photorejuvenation sessions is imperative to prevent subsequent photodamage and to protect the results of your treatment.
Fraxel→ Re:Pair , Profractional Laser Resurfacing (Erbium-YAG)
An ablative fractional laser using patented carbon dioxide technology to create thousands of quick healing treatment zones. It addresses the most advanced signs of sun damage and aging along with difficult acne scars. The fractional laser technology can offer significantly reduced recovery time over previous ablative carbon dioxide lasers.
-
Carbon dioxide laser beams glide across the skin penetrating in microscopic columns which target damaged cells. Collagen synthesis is stimulated in the surrounding healthy tissue. Targeted tissues are naturally exfoliated as skin heals.
Local and topical anesthetics as well as oral and inhaled analgesics will be employed prior to treatment for maximum comfort. Nerve blocks are an additional option we are able to provide for further comfort. A mild heating sensation and passing discomfort may be experienced during the treatment session.
-
Generally takes 30-60 minutes.
-
Desirable results can be achieved with one treatment. More than one treatment may be required depending on the skin condition being treated. Improved skin texture and radiance are some of the earlier benefits. Progressive results (over six months) include refinement of acne scarring, fine lines, and wrinkles.
-
Depending on the depth of treatment, pin-point bleeding, heat and tenderness are expected for 5-7 days following treatment. Swelling is a common side effect which usually subsides after one week. Subsequent redness may persist for up to a month. A sunburn sensation may be accompanied by crusting, peeling, or flaking for up to 2 weeks. Sunscreen use is vital to maintain and preserve the results of your resurfacing treatments
Moxi
A new fractionated laser with no-low downtime. Used for radiant skin results in all skin types and colours. Moxi is suitable for year-round use, as it lightens, brightens, and refreshes your skin. Moxi helps with brown spots, melasma, texture, fine wrinkles, and pore size, and may be combined with BBL for enhanced benefits.
-

-
A series of 3-4 treatments is recommended for optimal results.
-
Following treatment, you might experience some redness and mild swelling, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days.
Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser
Fractional laser technology has revolutionized the way that skin concerns can be treated. Previously, the risks and recovery time associated with ablative CO2 lasers prevented many patients from opting to correct scarring, age spots and wrinkles. And although fractional lasers provided the benefits laser rejuvenation without the risks and lengthy recovery period, the catch was that a series of treatments were required to attain outcomes equivalent to more invasive procedures. Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser treatments, however, are highly customizable to suit each individual’s aesthetic goals and the recovery time they are able to manage. Patients experience a more comfortable treatment and faster recovery without sacrificing the caliber of the treatment results.
-
Commonly treated areas include the face, neck, chest, and hands.
-
Targets millions of micro treatment zones of the skin, leaving the immediate surrounding tissues untreated for rapid healing. The intensity of the treatment can be customized based on the desired outcome of the individual. The laser beam targets damaged skin cells, stimulating a wound healing response in the skin. This results in noticeable improvements to discolouration and textural concerns such as scars, wrinkles and enlarged pores.
-
Treatment sessions require 45-60 minutes depending on the treatment area.
-
Optional annual maintenance treatments are recommended to maintain your results.
Your treatments can be customized to achieve the results you desire paired with the recovery time that suits your lifestyle. This can translate to either a few aggressive treatments, or a series of several treatments, depending on your needs and personal preference.
-
For the first 24 - 48 hours, the skin may feel and look flushed, but patients should be able to go about their normal activities. After the first day, the skin will begin to peel and continue to resurface for 3-4 days afterwards. You may apply mineral-based makeup post treatment to cover and calm temporary redness. Each Halo™ treatment offers quick improvements to skin texture, tone, and pigment irregularities, with prolonged improvements to skin firmness and scars arising over 4-6 months.
Avoiding prolonged sun exposure before, during and after your treatment series, and applying sun protection throughout the day, is vital to maintaining your hybrid fractional laser resurfacing results.
